We are focusing on bringing the basics back with top grade ingredients making unique and delicious food combined with great service in an upscale atmosphere The menu is well rounded featuring Angus beef, fresh seafood and rich pasta dishes. Prices are moderate, competing with the ‘big national franchises’, but surpassing their quality.
The ambiance is casual fine dining with local artists playing jazz and popular tunes. Lunch and dinner are served six days a week. House-made soups, delicious salads, appetizers, entrees and sandwiches including health-conscious meals give plenty of options. Small plate options in addition to the regular size dinners are available for those who would like to try a few items at a time or just want a smaller portion for dinner. Our full-service bar has an extensive & creative wine list and a generous 4.5 oz. Martini menu.
Large wide screens TVs display breathtaking art across nearly every genre from of classical masters like Degas and Van Gogh to contemporary innovators and emerging artists.
Private Dining Room for parties or Business
A private rear entrance to a full-service dining room accommodates 32 people and is available for meetings and parties. Our chef(s) will customize to your needs whether a luncheon meeting, evening party or whatever your event.

THE BACKROOM
The Backroom
There is a private, handicap accessible, dining facility in the back of the restaurant for gatherings with up to 32 seated diners, plus additional space in the lobby which encompasses a small bar and private bathrooms. Plenty of parking available right outside the rear door. This room is available for corporate functions, weddings, birthdays, retirement, or any type of get together. Projector and TVs are available. Custom menu or choose from the restaurant menu; our staff is happy to help you plan your event. .

Walking into The Grill at 1951 you are immediately transported away from your busy day into a relaxing atmosphere of our grand piano lounge. The décor that will have you smiling the instant you settle into our comfortable tables or just seated at our spacious bar. The Grill At 1951 is unique in that we are the only real jazz dinner in Port Charlotte and the surrounding area. We offer great jazz musicians along with jazz vocals from some of the purest jazz artist here. We will be featuring new and exciting talent that will leave you wanting to come back!
